The buses were stored at Clontarf pending negotiats with the 103 drivers. In the end agreenment was not reached. The W class were eventually used on new route 222 Stephens Green to Georges Quay which failed to attrach punters even after alterations. The buses were withdrawn finally ending up on Route 300 the named the Omnilink which operated via a circle from Omni Park Shopping Centre via Clontarf orthepedic Hospital, CRC and Beaumont Hospital, The W class suffered from severe unreliability and at time none of the 5 were avaialble for route 300 which required 2 buses due to driver overlap on take up. A double deck would then be used. U 64 has been involved in a slight sprang with the car on Terenure Road KC 195/6 on Routes 101 & 101A following the short lived operational split of Route 101 and new route 101A, A request for a MB on Route 250 is MB 6 returning to Phibsbor Garage on the North Quays. I have a shot of MB 6 on Route 250 taken the same day at Ashtown Cross but cant locate it. MB operation last 2 days when MA operation took over. KRs in evidence on City work were KR 17 from Dundalk, KR61,62,73,77,78,123,125 & 126. Also there were ZV 1460 - a Bedford OB operating the Connamara Bus and Ex Southdown Queen Mary - ZV 1461 both belong to Lally's of Moycullen. Sadly both of these buses are no longer in Galway having returned into preservation in the UK. A special run using CVH 5 SI2005. KD 199 199 JZl, R686 BIK 286 and KE 35 VZJ 35 travelled over a 100 mile route throuth the counties of Dublin, Meath and Louth before finishing at TMSI Howth. Each bus was used for a section of the run with passengers changing vehicles en route. As this did not meet with requirement a urther 50 AV types were also utilised. This from a compay who are complaining to the governmnet that it requires a further 200 new buses to operated bus services in Dublin. Anyway some of the operations in Dublin on Friday 22nd September 2006. All AX types in service are being withdrawn and placed in store after major cleaning. Donnybrook & Ringsend Garages are the first to their AX class. This has resulted in the returning to service most of the 34 RHs which are withdrawn. A selecetion of the replacement bus operation on Sat. 9/9/2006 on Route 7 and the 15 group. KC 138 on the extended 101 to Priorswood with D 635 wortking the 5th Universal on Route 42C. D662 working Route 13 to Palmerston Park with the Freeney made vinal and DF 598 sneaking out of College Street on Route 15B to Templeouge now called Ballyroan.
